Update: June Optional Update
The last Boom Beach update rolled out on the 20th of June, 2017.
Fixes
- Basebuilder bases can now be tested on Android
- Visual fixes for Intel, resource, and VP rewards in Militia Strikes
- Out of Sync fixes when scouting bases
- High resolution textures enabled for more devices
Update: Tribes
The last Boom Beach update rolled out on the 20th of March, 2017.
New Stuff
- New Hero: “Dr. Kavan” the jolly tribal medic with abilities including Crystal Critters, Ice Shield, and Second Wind!
- Blackguard Base Builder – Hammerman’s newest creation allows you to create Blackguard Bases and test them out in real time!
- Tribes – Available for HQ20+, you can now support the Tribal sectors and gain new bonuses via the map!
- Endless Reserves – Monthly subscription granting unlimited instant troop training! (gold cost still applies)
Balancing
- Machine guns now have a small blind zone
- Sgt. Brick – Attack damage increased, and Iron Will damage reduction now scales with level
- Cpt. Everspark – Attack damage increased, Demo Charge damage increased and has an area of effect
Changes
- Messages may now be hidden in Task Force chat by Officers
- Distress beacons added for locked Heroes

- Trader Notifications
- Trader Reward screen occasionally getting stuck after receiving 5 rewards
- Hero Perks now scale with level
Update: Intelligent Targeting
The last Boom Beach update rolled out on the 6th of April, 2017.

Update: Heroes
The last Boom Beach update rolled out on the 20th of March, 2017.
New Stuff
- Sgt. Brick and Cpt. Everspark are joining forces with you to defeat The Blackguard
- A mysterious Trader appears on the weekends with offers for trading resources
- New resources and rewards for upgrading Heroes
Improvements
- Machine gun will now be more effective
- Second Prototype Defense available at Weapon’s Lab level 3
- Third Prototype Defense can be built at Weapon’s Lab Level 5
Fixes
- Barbed Wire can no longer be Shock Bombed
- Hot Pot stuttering
- Grappler no longer pulls troops during retreat
Update: Extra Builders
The last Boom Beach update rolled out on the 12th of December, 2016.
Optional update
Extra Builders have arrived in Boom Beach! Extra builders allow you to build 2 buildings at the same time. The extra builders are an automatically recurring monthly subscription available in your Diamond shop.

The last Boom Beach update rolled out on the 7th of September, 2016.
New stuff
- The Hot Pot! A devastating hidden Flamethrower available as Prototype Weapon
- The Grappler! A tricky device that drags troops across your base. Another new Prototype Weapon.
- The Inbox has been redesigned and now has much more information (English only).
Improvements
- Cryoneers will now group up more efficiently
- A small area of effect for the Doom Cannon.

Update: HQ level 22, Statue Storage, Ranks, and Supply Chest
The last Boom Beach update rolled out on the 15th of December, 2015.
New stuff
- Headquarters level 22
- Armory Level 22 brings new upgrades for Troops and Gunboat abilities
- Statue Storage allows storage for new Statues before they’re placed in the base. Be careful! You cannot store statues once they have been placed
- Ranks! Increase your Victory Points to rank up. The higher your Rank, the better your daily rewards will be
- Supply Chests contain rewards based on your Rank! They can be claimed after gaining five Victory Points, and a new one can be earned every 24 hours

- Fixed rare issue where exploding Scorcher would destroy a headquarters without ending the battle

Update: Cryoneer, Friendly Battles, and Troop Loadouts!
The last Boom Beach update rolled out on the 6th of June, 2016.
New stuff
- New Troop called “The Cryoneer”. This Troop shoots a beam to freeze and slow enemy defenses.
- You are now able to challenge your Task Force by “Friendly Battles”. You can give them a try to attack your base, this won’t cost any Troops.
- New Ranks and more rewards at the highest Victory Point level. Cadet (170-230), Brigadier(820-1000), and Legend(1725-2000)
- Troop Load outs allow you to save your favorite troop combinations for easy switching. Unlocks at Gunboat level 10 starting with two slots. More slots will unlock at Gunboat levels 13, 16, 19, and 21
Improvements
- The Supply Chest will now always reward a Fragment, Shard, or Crystal. The cooldown timer of the Chest starts as soon as you collect it, and lasts for 20 hours
- Fragments can now be mass converted into Shards.
- Rank icons will now appear on the map.

The last Boom Beach update rolled out on the 15th of December, 2015.
- 10 new Power Base layouts
- Task Force; Operation participation % won’t include successful operations, if you didn’t attack
- Task Force; Sabotage can now target Shield Generators and Damage Amplifiers
- Several graphical updates for Vault levels
- Dr. Terror is now called Dr. T (while Boom Beach is set in a fantasy world, Supercell has changed the character’s name to Dr. T given recent real-world events)

Update “Kingdom of the Crystal Seashell”
The last Boom Beach update rolled out on the 21th of October, 2015.

Prototype weapon re-balancing
- Prototype defense weapons now last for 7 days instead of 12 days
- Hammerman on the hunt event will yield more prototype modules
- “???” diving spots will sometimes give prototype modules
- Damage Amplifier has been improved with a bigger effect radius and more health
- Re-worked the distribution of module costs to take the Shield Generator into account
- Level 1 prototype weapons cost two modules more in total
- Level 3 prototype weapons cost six modules less in total
- Doom Cannon now shoots every 3.5 seconds at all levels (previously 5s, 4s, 3s) and its damage per shot has been significantly increased for levels 2 and 3
- Shock Blaster damage reduced
Removed
- The ability to save/load Resource Base layouts (it was left in the last update by mistake)
Update “Turtle Raiders of the Lost Archipelago”
The last Boom Beach update rolled out on the 25th of June, 2015.
New stuff
- You can now save multiple base layouts (unlocks at HQ 13)
- Share your attack and defense replays with your Task Force

Improvements
- Lots of graphic changes on buildings
- Critters no longer follow Flares, receive Medic/Medkit healing or statue bonuses
- Better boss banter
- Gearheart event has more reward thresholds, starting at 2 Gears
Balance changes
- Gearheart rewards increased
- Hammerman on the hunt event rewards increased at the higher VP ranges
- Dr. Terror difficulty increased, with stage 7 being as challenging as stage 20 used to be.
- Critters’ damage and health increased slightly
- Power Core health increased to 200k (from 160k)
- Some Power Base layouts have been tweaked
- Turtle and crab population reduced

- If you leave a Task Force during an Operation, you won’t receive the OP reward. Not even if you re-join before the Operation finishes.

- You can join 10 Task Forces per day

- Turrets no longer rotate all day long
- Friends list will now show the correct amount of Victory Points
- Sabotage button greys out when a sabotage is happening
- Attacking within the ‘4 minute next invasion window’ won’t reset the timer back to 4 minutes anymore
- The visual glitch of the Bouncing Dr. Terror base has been removed
- The Grenadier’s movement speed text changed from moderate to slow
- You can no longer leave 1-3 NPC bases on your map to ‘game’ the PvP base spawns. A fully empty map gives the best chance of new invasions.
